Building Better Habits with the Medicine Wheel
Last month, I had the honour of presenting with the UBC Learning Circle, sharing how Medicine Wheel goal setting has been a foundation for my journey. We explored how to integrate the four quadrants, mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual, into values-driven growth.
I’m excited to announce I am launching a new video series, “Follow Your Own Advice.” This project is a real-time case study on how we can use these strategies not just to set goals, but to sustain them.
The reality is that motivation fluctuates. In this series, I will be documenting my personal journey with these tools, answering the hard questions:
- How do we integrate this strategy into real life? (Beyond just writing it down on paper).
- What happens when we fall off? (Because we all do).
- How do we rebuild? (Using the framework to re-establish our baseline and build better habits).
My hope is to show you how integrating traditional concepts with western evidence-based practices can create a more balanced path forward. You’ll see me navigating challenges, adjusting my plans, and striving for wellness in all four areas.
This series is about moving from “knowing what to do” to actually doing it. I will be sharing the specific ways I rely on the Medicine Wheel to correct course when I veer off track.
Tune in to see how traditional wisdom and evidence-based practice come together in the real world.
